What is JoyID Passkey?

JoyID Passkey (https://app.joy.id/) is the first non-custodial Bitcoin wallet using Passkey technology.

Utilizing the FIDO WebAuthn protocol, JoyID allows users to create a non-custodial crypto wallet account, with Faceid or fingerprint, within seconds, providing seamless access to the Web3 world.

How to Create a JoyID Passkey wallet?

1. Visit app.joy.id using your mobile or PC.

<aside> ✅ Since Passkey has certain device and system requirements, please verify if your device and browser are compatible with JoyID:

📱Android: Must be version 7.0 or higher with Google Mobile Services enabled.

• Google account login required
• Browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Edge (recommended for Xiaomi devices)

🍏 iOS: Requires iOS 16 or higher with iCloud services enabled.

• iCloud account login required
• Browsers: Safari, Chrome, Firefox, Edge

🖥 macOS: Must be macOS Catalina or higher with Touch ID support.

• iCloud account login required, Google account needed if creating with Chrome
• Browsers: Safari, Chrome, Edge

💻 Windows: Requires TPM (Trusted Platform Module)

Note: The following environments do not support creating a JoyID account:

• Windows system (If your device indicates it doesn't support creating a JoyID account but supports mobile login, you can scan the Webauthn QR Code with your phone to log in)
• MIUI with second space
• Huawei phones/HarmonyOS
• Firefox on macOS

Please do not use Android emulators/Google simulated environments to bypass these restrictions, as these operations will result in the loss of your account!

1. Click “Create New”.
2. Check “☑️ Passkey Backup,” then click “Authenticate”.
3. Confirm authentication twice using your fingerprint, PIN, or Face ID.
4. Congratulations! Your account is ready. Click "Confirm" to begin your crypto journey with JoyID.

<aside> ❓ Failed to create a wallet on Android phone?

Some Android models may not support Passkey. In this case, you can download the JoyID Android app and create a wallet using 12 mnemonic words.
