The JoyID wallet now supports cross-system multi-device backup. For example, you can back up your JoyID wallet from a device that supports the iOS system (e.g iPhone) to a device that supports the Windows system (e.g Microsoft Surface).

I. Upgrading Your Account (Approximately 150 $CKB)

  1. Access the account you need to back up on your old device through app.joy.id.

  2. Deposit the upgrade fee of ≥ 250 $CKB into your JoyID wallet in advance. Currently supports multiple currencies (recommended: $CKB / $Matic).

  3. Click on the "Settings" button in the upper right corner, open Security, click "+", then click "Upgrade" to pay for the upgrade.

  4. After successful upgrade, you can click on the CKB balance to see that "150CKB" is being used.

II. Account Backup

Note: Throughout the entire backup process, please keep your old device screen on to ensure smooth backup.

  1. Visit the JoyID account to be backed up. Click on the "Settings" button in the upper right corner of the old device, then open Security and click "+".

  2. Get authorization QR code/link (ensure old device screen is on)

    1. Scan the QR code with the new device and open it through the browser (recommended: Chrome).
    2. Copy the URL and open it in the browser on the new device (recommended: Chrome).

  3. Visit the authorization link on the new device, verify twice, then generate a Passkey. Ensure the old device screen is on.

  4. Authorize the old device to complete the backup and check the backup status.
